Dublin rain doesn’t wait.

It comes in sideways off the Liffey corridor and it finds every weak joint, every sagging bracket, every crack in an ageing downpipe. I’ve been sorting gutters across Dublin for years, and the same problems come around every autumn without fail. Water finds a way in. Our job is to stop it before it does.

We work on all kinds of Dublin housing, from the older red brick terraces in D10 to the pebble-dash semi-detached estates across the west side of the city. Each one throws up its own headaches. Older properties often have cast iron guttering that needs careful restoration rather than a straight rip-out. Newer builds tend to be uPVC but the brackets were fitted too close together and the fall is wrong. It’s rarely dramatic. It’s just slow neglect.

What we do

• New gutter installation and full replacements in uPVC, aluminium seamless, and cast iron
• Half-round, ogee, and square-line gutter profiles
• Downpipe repair and replacement, hopper heads, rainwater outlets
• Soffit and fascia replacement in uPVC board
• Leaf guards and gutter mesh fitted to existing runs
• Bracket re-spacing to restore proper fall and drainage
• Connection to soakaways, gullies, rainwater diverters, and water butts
• Parapet wall lead flashing junction checks where gutters meet flat roof details

A typical installation day

1. Survey the full roofline, check fascia boards for rot before anything else goes up
2. Strip out old guttering and dispose of it
3. Replace any soft fascia or soffit boarding that won’t hold a bracket
4. Fix new brackets at correct spacing to give the right fall to the outlet
5. Cut and fit the new gutter run, seal all joints
6. Fit downpipes and connect to existing drainage at ground level
7. Full flush test with a hose. Simple enough.

(Most jobs are done in a day, though larger terraces or properties with multiple returns can run into a second morning.)
