Warning signs your gutters may need replacing

It’s worth knowing what to look for. These are the main things that tell me a gutter is past repairing:

1. Visible cracks or splits running along the gutter body
2. Persistent sagging between brackets, even after re-fixing
3. Paintwork or render staining directly below the gutter line
4. Joints that keep leaking no matter how many times they’re resealed
5. Gutters pulling away from the fascia board repeatedly

A gutter bracket re-spacing job involves recalculating the fall across the full run, which is the kind of detail that gets missed when someone is just patching rather than looking at the whole picture.
