A bit about how we work

A customer once said our finished patio looked like it had always been there.

That stuck with me, honestly. It is the best thing anyone can say about groundwork, because a patio that sits right with its surroundings takes proper thought before a single slab goes down.

We are based in Great Wakering, and most of our work stays local to the SS3 area and the villages nearby. If you have driven past St Nicholas Church on the high street, you have probably passed one of our finished gardens without knowing it (and I say that without any great modesty, just as a fact I am quietly pleased about).

What we do

• New patio installations in porcelain, Indian sandstone, concrete flagstone, and natural stone
• Block paving and garden paths
• Fencing installations and garden walling
• Roll-on turf and artificial grass lawns

How we approach the work

The material choices matter more than most people realise at the start. Porcelain handles the Essex winters well, but Indian sandstone has a warmth to it that suits older properties beautifully.

We think carefully about the ground beneath too, not just what sits on top. Drainage, levels, long-term stability, these details are where a patio either lasts or starts letting you down after a couple of seasons.

One thing I have started building into more projects is low-voltage lighting integrated into steps. It looks proper on an evening and it is a lot more practical than people expect.
