What kind of work do we take on?

We lay patios across Ingatestone, Essex and the surrounding area, working with porcelain tiles, Indian sandstone, concrete flagstones and block paving. The ground conditions around here can be awkward, estuarine silt being a particular challenge, and getting the sub-base right from the start is what separates a patio that lasts from one that doesn’t.

What materials do we work with?

Most customers come to us with a material already in mind, which is fine. Here is what we regularly install:

• Concrete flagstones
• Block paving
• Artificial grass and roll-on turf
• Timber fencing and garden walling

Each material has its own bedding requirements and its own quirks. Porcelain, for instance, needs a spot-on mortar mix or you end up with hollow spots that crack under load.

Do we handle anything beyond the patio itself?

We do. A lot of our jobs grow naturally into the wider garden. We erect timber fencing, build garden walling and lay paths that tie the whole space together. Honestly, it is rare that someone just wants four slabs and nothing else once they see how the area can look.

What about ongoing care?

We always mention routine maintenance to our customers before we finish a job. Re-sanding joints, resealing natural stone, keeping drainage channels clear, these small habits add years to any patio. We are happy to advise on what each surface actually needs.
