Portmarnock Guttering
What do we actually do?
Based in Portmarnock, County Dublin, we cover rooflines, guttering, fascias, soffits, and all the rainwater drainage work that keeps a house standing sound. We’ve been at it long enough to know every common problem on Dublin homes, coastal included.
We work with uPVC, cast iron, and aluminium seamless guttering. Half-round, ogee, square-line, whatever the property needs. Older homes especially can need a different approach, and we’re well used to that.
What jobs do we take on?
- New gutter installation and full replacement
- Gutter repair, re-alignment, and bracket re-spacing for proper fall
- Downpipe repair and replacement, including downpipe back plate masonry fixing where the wall requires it
- Fascia and soffit replacement in uPVC
- Leaf guards and gutter mesh fitting
- Hopper heads, rainwater outlets, and connection to existing soakaways and gullies
- Rainwater diverter and water butt installation
We do a lot of work around the north Dublin coast. If you know the Clontarf fire station end of things, we’re regularly out that direction and beyond.
Can you work in bad weather or winter?
Grand question. We can’t fix guttering in heavy rain, would anyone? However, we do work through the winter months without issue. Fascia boards, soffits, bracket replacements, a good portion of what we do is perfectly fine in dry cold weather. We plan jobs around the forecast and let customers know well in advance if a reschedule is needed.
Why does the fixing method matter?
On older Dublin brick, the downpipe back plate masonry fixing has to be right. Get it wrong and you’re pulling fixings out of soft mortar inside a year. We take that seriously on every job, it’s not something to rush.
