What we do

From the ground up, we lay patios properly. Based in Halstead, Essex, we work across the local area putting down surfaces that hold up year after year. No shortcuts with the base, no rushing the finish.

The materials we work with

We handle most of what you’d want underfoot in a garden:

Each material behaves differently in Essex’s clay-heavy ground. We cut, bed and point everything to suit what’s actually under your garden, not what a catalogue assumes.

Base preparation matters more than most people realise

Right, here’s where we differ from a lot of lads offering cheap quotes. We compact the sub-base in layers. Hardcore down first, compacted properly, then sharp sand or a cement-bound layer depending on the surface above it. (We collect our aggregates from Notley Road Depot locally, so we know exactly what’s going into your base.) Skip that process and you’ll have a rocking slab within two winters. We don’t skip it.

A lot of customers come to us for the patio and end up having us sort the rest of the garden too. Fair enough.
