Who we are

: Canvey Island, Essex. That’s where we’re based, and that’s mostly where we work.

We’ve been laying patios and sorting out gardens across this island for long enough to know the ground conditions here better than most. Clay-heavy soil, tight rear access on terraced properties, drainage that needs thinking about properly. We deal with it all, week in, week out.

What we do

How we actually work

We don’t just slap slabs down and leave. Is that really what anyone wants from a job that’s supposed to last twenty years? We bed everything properly, get the falls right for drainage, and make sure edgings are solid before we walk off site.

Terraced rear-access gardens are something we come across all the time here. Tight alleyways, no room to swing a cat, and somehow we’re getting a full pallet of porcelain through on a sack truck. It’s grand once you’ve done it a hundred times, but it does take planning.

Materials matter too. Porcelain is low-maintenance and holds its colour well in our damp winters. Sandstone gives a more natural look, however it needs sealing done right or you’ll be staining inside a season. We’re straight with customers about that kind of thing from the start.
